As an Outside Sales Representative in StorageHawk’s Sales function, you are responsible for re-selling Partner Products & Professional Services, as well as maintaining positive on-going relationships to meet evolving customer needs. Your overall focus areas will be in capturing sales opportunities, developing proposals for presentation to customers, and re-selling products and services. StorageHawk’s Marketing and Systems Engineering functions provide support and tools for you to help you attain and exceed sales performance goals.

Interaction

Education & Experience
- 5+ years of experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or related field is required.
- Experience that demonstrates expertise in technical specifications required to re-sell StorageHawk partner products and services.
Functions
- Work directly with customers to capture new sales opportunities.
- Schedule and attend sales call appointments with customers. Other StorageHawk sales team members may also participate in the sales call to help qualify the opportunity.
- Discuss business issues with customer; develop formal quotes, written sales proposals, or formal sales presentations addressing their business needs.
- Provide status information to your Manager including forecast/pipeline information.
- Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.

As a StorageHawk Systems Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical services and support to our customers and StorageHawk sales team in pre-and post- sales engagements. Your Professional Services will include on-site support and remote services. The Systems Engineer must be a responsible, highly motivated, minimally managed individual capable of working in dynamic high-security environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists sales team as required in areas including solution design, problem resolution, and client presentations.
- Performs onsite professional services including installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, data migrations, and assessments.
- Generates detailed documentation, presentations, and technical drawings.
- Maintains technical expertise in a broad range of related technologies.
- The candidate handles hardware and software issues related to storage systems.
- Reports directly to StorageHawk management.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
- Must have strong troubleshooting and analysis abilities; possess strong customer service and technical problem solving skills; and be someone who embraces challenges.
- A minimum of 8 years of industry experience in storage/system software and/or engineering product support role is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent related experience is required.
- In-depth Technical Knowledge In the Following Areas:
- Storage technologies including RAID, SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, Deduplication, Storage virtualization.
- Storage systems & components including NetApp, Hitachi, EMC, 3Par, Brocade, Cisco, Qlogic, Emulex.
- Backup, Archival and file system solutions and technologies including NetBackup, BackupExec, Commvault, Legato, NDMP, Quantum DXi, DataDomain, VTL, Stornext, Enterprise vault.
- Disaster Recovery and High availability design and implementation.
- System Virtualization solutions including VMware Vsphere, Microsoft , and Citrix.
- Operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server platforms and various Linux offerings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Provide Subject-Matter Expert-level consultations.
- Ability to provide off-hours support.
